Ambassadors

The Street Athletics Ambassador programme was implemented in 2008 to encourage local young people to promote the Street Athletics programme whilst further developing the legacy of the events within their areas. Through close liaison with local organisers and youth engagement agencies, the programme allows young people to gain experience in the involvement, running and delivery of Street Athletics. It also empowers them to use it as a catalyst to run additional local projects. The Ambassadors join the Street Athletics participants on their journey and take ownership of the events in their area before accompanying the successful participants to the Finals, sometimes adopting the role of Team Manager.
