Digital Journalism
This year Street Athletics will also be running a Digital Journalist project where participants will report at their local events and the National Final in Manchester. The intention of this is to give the young people the opportunity to be mentored by media experts who work alongside the Digital Journalists at the regional events and National Final, providing guidance and encouraging them to develop their skills behind the camera.
Participants will have the chance to interview Olympic Athletes, such as Linford Christie, Darren Campbell and Mark Lewis Francis. They will also be able to take footage of the event itself and interview participants who take part in the races.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for those who want to get involved in the media side of sport.
